The drawback with a self signed SSL Certificate is that web browsers will complain about our self signed SSL Certificate not being signed by a trusted Certificate Authority until our root certificate is imported. However, once this is done, we are no different from the commercial root CAs.
This site does not ask you for any financial information, the only reason we use an SSL Certificate is to protect your private information by encrypting the connection between our website and your computer.
